I grew up an Atheist, and although I had never heard the Gospel, I found myself occasionally praying to whom I didn’t know; I just knew I needed help. I spent years asking people why they believed, and never did someone tell me about Jesus.
Becoming a mother gave me purpose and helped me in more ways than I can explain here in this short passage, but I was still searching for something. My husband, who wasn’t religious in any way, told me I needed God. He encouraged me to read the Bible even though he didn’t believe or have any intention to believe. At this point, I did buy a Bible, but I never truly picked it up to read it.
2020 hit, and all hell broke loose.
That was the year that my family came to Christ. My husband, who had been pretty stern on his beliefs before this point, began researching as the darkness of the world ensued. Darkness truly had us searching for the light. He looked at the research Lee Strobel shares in his book ‘The Case For Christ,’ which is a very compelling story and case study. For those who don’t know of him and his work. He was a journalist, and when his wife came to Christ, he kinda lost it. He was angry and was drinking a fair bit. He became obsessed and wanted to disprove the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
Spoiler alert: His research shows him that Christ is the only historical figure with so much information about him that we’d have to remove all of the figures before him before we declare he was made up. Both Christians and non-Christians agree he existed, and the proof for his life and death is substantial, but so too is the proof of his resurrection. If this interests you, I highly recommend reading the book and watching the film.

This was the starting point of our Christian journey. We were baptized in 2021 and have been growing in faith since.
I don’t necessarily believe the same as other Christians I read the book and I often stay away from
Organized Religion.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
Please note that these statements are what we believe, however, we welcome all Christians to join our community and benefit from our services and courses.
gospel
JOHN 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jesus was born, he lived, he healed those who needed it, he loved and loves all, he was perfect and sinless, he was crucified. He said ‘It is finished’ (JHN 19:30) because when he died he paid for all of our sins past present and future. His perfect blood was given as a sacrifice for us, so that whoever believes in him will have everlasting life. He rose again and ascended to heaven (ACT 1:11) and one day he will return just as he left.
Clarifying Salvation
EPHESIANS 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Our works do not save us. If our works saved us the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross would be meaningless. It is through the grace of God that he sent His son to die for us. It is faith in that sacrifice, the death and resurrection of Christ that saves us. (Paul explains the faith of the figures that came before Jesus in HEB 11)
.
sin
GENESIS 2:17
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
We sin because we do what we know is not good. Paul says that our flesh sins while our mind serves the law of God (ROM 7:19) and this makes sense for God has given us a sound mind (2 TIM 1:7)
Recommended Reading
For New Christians
Or if You’re a Curios Atheist
The following books for the bible in the following order should be read by every Christian and every New Christian to prevent confusion and promote understanding. My husband and I also recommend that you read an entire book in one sitting, taking notes as you so, so you can have a full understanding of what you have read. In regards to Paul’s letters, they were written to be read out loud and in one moment not in sections over time.
1. John 2.Ephesians 3.Galatians
4.Acts 5.The rest of Paul’s letters
I recommend Paul the most as he is the apostle to the Gentiles which we are. (Gentiles are anyone who isn’t Jewish)
